Jan. 20: Family Movie Night and Game Night

  • Patch attended Thursday night's at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lynbrook. Three community leaders were honored for their service to Lynbrook. Stay with us for the story.
  • East Rockaway High School will be holding at 7 p.m., presented by the Key Club. Call the school at 516-887-8300 for more info.
  • The High School will also be hosting for grades 7-9 at 7 p.m. in the gym.
  • For kids in grades 4-6, East Rockaway recreation will be hosting a Game Night at 7 p.m. Come play cool games with your friends every Friday night at the , located at 17 John Street.
  • , located at 267 Merrick Rd, holds a at 6 p.m. Call 516-612-2770, seating limited.

In-person Lynbrook Titans girls & boys outdoor lacrosse registration will be taking place this Sunday, January 22 from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at Greis Park for children in grades 3-6.

One more event: Lynbrook High School's annual Cabaret Night
is 7:30 p.m. at the HS Cafeteria. The students transform the café into a cabaret and entertain guests with a variety of songs dances and instrumental numbers. Its a charity fundraiser sponsored by the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

The problem is that our state is in dire financial trouble and we can’t afford it. Upstate NY is a distressed disaster. How much more taxes are we going to pay?. Hear those feet marching out of state. Try fighting for drilling so we have jobs and revenue.

Not to mention 13 week vacations as well as numerous 1/2 days and weather shortened days. A $50000 band aid we end up paying indirectly anyway only increases taxes further down the road. They are either that stupid or they think we are!
