Jan. 29-30: Malverne Mel, Open Houses, Little League and More Things to Know this Weekend

Here's your guide to the top stories and events happening this weekend in Malverne and West Hempstead.

  1. Open Houses: Every Saturday, Patch fills you in on the local homes that are on the market and having opening houses for the weekend, but this time it isn't only residential properties that are offering tours. To kick off Catholic Schools Week, n Malverne and in West Hempstead will also be holding opening houses this Sunday. Both schools are inviting families of current and prospective students to tour the buildings to learn more about what they have to offer. During this time, they'll also be hosting curriculum fairs to showcase students' work. will run from 10:30am to 12:30pm and thewill be from 11:30am to 1pm. Oh, and we'll be posting open houses for homes in Malverne and West Hempstead here at 8.am today.
  2. Last Chance for Little League: This Saturday is the final sessions to sign up your child for Register your son or daughter for youth baseball or softball on Jan. 29 between 9am and noon at .
