Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — As all thoughts turn to a three-day weekend, Friday will be a perfect send-off. Sunny skies and a high of 80 degrees is expected, with the temperature dropping to around 65 degrees at night.

2 — Today is the last day of a held at Greis Park. Young children in the community had an opportunity to learn the dangers of drugs from the New York CounterDrug Task Force. Patch will be covering this event and will have the full story next Tuesday.
