  1. Free Tennis Day: The U.S. Tennis Association is hosting its Long Island Kids' Tennis Day today at the brand-new tennis courts at . All local kids (not just Malverne residents) can receive free tennis lessons rom 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. provided not only by local tennis pros but by former world #6 tennis champion Chanda Rubin, who will be on hand all day serving as guest clinician. This free event, which supports the National Junior Tennis and Learning Network, will bring children from across Long Island to Malverne for lessons, games, prizes, lunch and much more.
