July 26: Football Camp, 100 Things, and Shrek?

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Tuesday will be mostly sunny with a high temperature of 87 degrees. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening hours, which will be around 68 degrees.

3 — National Football League players may have been sidelined for the league lockout, but the next generation was learning how to punt, pass and kick during football camp at in Lynbrook. Patch will have the full video report later today.

4 — The first of Patch personality Stacey Sweet's "Sweet Secrets of the South Shore" will be posted on Lynbrook Patch later today. Sweet unravels some of the mysteries and forgotten treasures on Long Island.

5 — The Lynbrook Recreation Center will be showing "Shrek Forever After" at 8 p.m. Free admission for all.
