July 28: Open Houses, Lynbrook Car Show

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Thursday's weather will be much like yesterday's, mostly sunny with a high temperature in the mid-80s. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 7 p.m., when the temperature will drop to the low 70s.

2 — The next mystery photo will be posted on Patch later today. Take a guess and you could win a prize.

3 — Every Thursday on Lynbrook Patch, we'll be running a guide to open houses being held over the upcoming weekend. Details include a description of the home and the asking price.

4 — There's a lot happening at the Lynbrook Public Library today. Visit the library website for more information.

5 — Don't forget about Lynbrook's Thursday evening car shows. The event begins at 6:30 pm., held in the parking lot between Atlantic Avenue and Forest Avenue.
