July 5: Anti-Drug Boot Camp, Car Show Photos, School Board Meets

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — With today's forecast, you'll probably wish you were still off from work. Sunny skies and a high temperature of 85 degrees is expected.

3 — How do you get your kids to stay away from drugs? Bring in the Army! The Village of Lynbrook did just that in a week-long boot-camp style series in which Lynbrook children learned tips to live a drug-free lifestyle. Patch's video report will be up later this afternoon.

4 — Lynbrook's summer car shows kicked off last Thursday. You can check out photos from the event later today.

5 — The Lynbrook Board of Education will meet for its summer Reorganization Meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. Patch will be posting the board's agenda later this afternoon.
