June 22: Graduation, Test Scores, Best Hair Salon and More

Here are the Five Things You Need to Know for June 22.

1. Graduation: s Class of 2012 will graduate tonight at 6 p.m. The ceremony will be held on the athletic field or in the case of inclement weather, inside Howard T. Herber Middle School. (West Hempstead seniors will graduate Sunday night, at 5 p.m., at Long Island University's C.W. Post Campus.)
2. Prom Photos: West Hempstead seniors (and their proud parents), show off how great you looked at prom last night by uploading photos to our Prom 2012 gallery .
3. Test Scores: In addition to regarding one school board members actions, Tuesday's meeting of the West Hempstead Board of Education also focused on the latest New York State test scores across the different school buildings. Look for the story later today.
4. Best Hair Salon: We're looking to crown one hair salon in either Malverne, West Hempstead, Lynbrook or Rockville Centre with a Readers' Choice Award. Nominate your favorite so they have a chance to win!
