June 22: Village Names Top Residents, Adopts Public Comment Time Limits

Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — The Lynbrook area will likely see rain and possible thunderstorms on Wednesday. A high of 81 degrees is expected. Rain is in the forecast for the rest of the week, with the temperature staying around the low 80s.

2 — On Monday, Lynbrook village officials named its 2011 Man, Woman, and for the first time, Youth of the Year. Find out who they are in a series of Patch stories running later today.

3 — Every Wednesday on Patch, we'll be featuring several job openings in the Lynbrook area. Despite a tight job market, many local businesses are looking to hire on a seasonal basis. Look out for that story later today.
