Lynbrook: A Week in Review

A look back at last week's stories.

On Monday, we reviewed the second episode of My Big Friggin' Wedding, which features a Lynbrook couple through their drama-filled wedding planning. Check that story out .

On Tuesday, the Lynbrook library board met for its monthly meeting. Details from that meeting .

Also, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's office declared that three buses at Davison Avenue School in Lynbrook were . The marshal had been investigating the blaze as suspicious for a couple days, and police are still seeking the person(s) responsible.

On Wednesday, the Village of Lynbrook to its former Senior Club president, the late Mary Sobiesiak. Her family, friends, and local elected officials were on hand for the dedication ceremony.

The Lynbrook Board of Education met on Wednesday to discuss a variety of district issues. A breakdown of that meeting will appear on Monday.

On Thursday, Lynbrook VFW Post 2307 held its annual at the Doughboy. Veterans, their families, and local elected officials were in attendance.

On Friday, the , at Hofstra Stadium in the Nassau Conference III semifinal round. Lynbrook takes on Lawrence this Friday.

On Saturday, the Friends of the Lynbrook Public Library held a rummage sale to help raise money for the library. Story to appear later this week.

Also on Saturday, village residents purchased tickets for the upcoming Breakfast with Santa.
