Lynbrook Golf Outing Postponed

Centennial event moved to next year in hopes of warmer weather.

The Lynbrook Mayor's Centennial Golf Outing has been postponed to next year, Lynbrook Chamber of Commerce member Jeff Greenfield announced today.

The event, originally scheduled for Oct. 12, was moved so it could be held during warmer weather, possibly May 2011, Greenfield said. It was to be the second event of several being held for the village's 100th anniversary celebration.

The Golf Outing will help raise money for the Lynbrook Community Chest, a charitable organization that provides assistance to those in need. The event will also honor Michael McEnerney, an active member of the St. Mary Maris Stella Council # 2228 Knights of Columbus.
