March 17: Open Houses, Weekend Planner, and a Lynbrook Business Perfect for St. Patty's Day

Five things you need to know in Lynbrook today.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Happy St. Patrick's Day! Later today, Patch will feature a unique Lynbrook business, one that has a wide variety of items for St. Patrick's Day, and for the other 364 days a year.

2 —  It's Thursday, and many people are looking to make plans for the weekend. Patch is here to help — in a few hours, we'll have our weekly "Get Out" planner, a guide to what's happening this weekend in and around Lynbrook.

3 — The Lynbrook Public Library is holding a B-I-N-G-O Night for teens in grades 6-12 from 7-8:30 p.m. Prizes will be given out and refreshments will be served. This is a great way for teens to start their three-day weekend, as schools are closed tomorrow. Registration is required for this free program. Call the library at (516) 599-8630.

4 — Patch will be posting a list of open houses being held this weekend in Lynbrook. See what homes in the village are for sale, and for how much.

5 — Patch is still accepting nominations for this week's "Whiz Kid." Click here for details on how to enter an accomplished Lynbrook youngster.
