Although the public schools in Malverne and West Hempstead are closed this week, both communities are still very busy.

  1. Village Budget: The village board has revealed the latest budget figures for Malverne. Find out what departments took cuts, the proposed tax hike and more ways it will affect you later today.
  2. HANC Tech Help: Students from the Hebrew Academy of Nassau County in West Hempstead recently spent a day volunteering their time to help senior citizens learn how to use their mobile devices. for the story and photos.
