March 31: Deadline to Submit School Survey, Jobs in the Lynbrook Area

Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Today is the deadline to submit your Needs Assessment Survey to the Lynbrook School District. The survey asks for all residents of the Lynbrook district to provide input on what they believe is most vital to the students in Lynbrook schools. The results will be used to formulate a five-year strategic plan for the district. Click here to get a copy of the survey.

2 — Can't wait 'til the weekend for a little rest and relaxation? Head over to the Lynbrook Public Library for "Chi Gong" at 10:30 a.m. Chi Gong is an ancient Chinese meditative practice that utilizes slow, graceful movements and breathing techniques to enhance the immune system, promote relaxation, and to reestablish balance and harmony of the mind, body and spirit.

3 — Patch will have results of Tuesday's girls softball and lacrosse games later today. See how the two teams are performing so far in their non-league games.

4 — See which Lynbrook businesses are hiring in Patch's weekly feature highlighting different job postings in and around the village.

5 — Every week, Patch tells different stories of the community via articles. But at noon today, we'll run our weekly "Viewfinder" column, a compilation of photos from around the village. We hope you enjoy it.
