March 8: Lynbrook School District Survey, Celtic Design Class at Village Library

Five things of interest happening today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Lynbrook School District officials are calling on all residents to take part in a survey for purposes of formulating the district's five-year strategic plan. Details on what the survey entails will be available in a Patch story later today.

3 — In the spirit of St. Patrick's Day, teens in grades 6-12 are welcome to attend Celtic Design at the Lynbrook Public Library at 7 p.m. The staff will be teaching them how to make a Celtic plaque using a soft metal engraving technique.

4 — Parents, if you need something to do while your teens are attending the Celtic Design class, the library's Board of Trustees will be meeting at 7:30 p.m. The board meetings are usually relatively short, and you can learn about the business of the library.
