Shortly after a firestorm of comments, questions and criticisms broke out at the Malverne School Board meeting Tuesday night, actual gun shots were fired only blocks away in Lakeview.

  1. Lakeview Shooting: Nassau County and Malverne Police spent hours Tuesday night searching Lakeview and surrounding areas for a gunman after a victim was shot on Pinebrook Avenue. The search team included a chopper and K9 unit. for the full story.

Fourth Graders Will Graduate: Many parents of fourth graders in the Malverne school district were irate last night during a board of education meeting when they learned that their children will not be staying at Davison Avenue School next year, as promised to them by school officials. Instead, they will have to scurry to put together a graduation for their youngsters who will now be moving up to the Middle School.
