May 11: Voter Registration Deadline, Q&A With the School Board Candidates

Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Another warm, sunny day is forecast for the Lynbrook area on Wednesday. The temperature is expected to be in the mid-60s, dropping to the low 50s by tonight.

2 — The Lynbrook PTA held a "Meet the Candidates Night" on Monday, with residents able to ask questions of the three candidates running for the Lynbrook Board of Education this year. In a Patch story running later today, we'll detail where the candidates stand on certain issues.

3 — Two players on the Lynbrook varsity baseball team are having exceptional seasons this year. Patch will profile the two in a story that will be posted later today.

4 — Today is the last day to register to vote for the May 17 budget vote and school board election. Registration is being held today, from 12-9 p.m. at the high school, and from 3-7 p.m. at Lynbrook North and South Middle Schools.
