After a week filled with disputes over school budgets, board members and parade marching, there are plenty of positive things to celebrate today.

One local team has earned a spot in the playoffs, tonight the community will come together to fight cancer and the neighborhood was made even more beautiful recently by the work of its young volunteers. (Oh, and not to mention the weekend is almost here!)

  1. Relay for Life: The track at light up tonight with life and beautiful tributes to those their's to cancer. To join your neighbors in the first annual Relay for Life in Malverne to benefit the American Cancer Society click here. Their will be a survivors dinner this evening, followed by musical performances and an official kick off at 7 p.m.
