Five things you need to know today in Lynbrook.

The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — With the 100th anniversary and Memorial Day parade coming up next week, why not take a journey through time to see how the village was in the good old days?

You can do so at a at Long Island American Water's headquarters. Hosted by the Historical Society of East Rockaway & Lynbrook, this showcase features historical photos, movies, and souvenir journals.

The next tour will be given today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is also one on Thursday.

2 — The Lynbrook Owls took on the South Side Cyclones in the quarterfinals last night. See which team was victorious in a Patch story running later today.

3 — Look out for No. 84 in the Patch series, "." See if there's someplace interesting in the village that you've never experienced.

4 — The 5th annual Relay for Life was held last Saturday at Lynbrook South Middle School. Later today, Patch will have a photo gallery of all the participants. Don't miss it!
