  1. Callahan Laid to Rest: A funeral Mass for Malverne Deputy Mayor Jim Callahan will be held today at 11 a.m. at in West Hempstead followed by a burial at Holy Rood in Westbury. Callahan, who also served as Commissioner of Emergency Management for Nassau County, died Thursday at the age of 42.
