The following are five things you need to know today in Lynbrook and/or on Patch:

1 — Back to the grind on yet another Monday, but at least the weather will be nice. The Lynbrook area will see sunny skies and a high temperature of 68 degrees. A comfortable evening is forecast as well, with a low around 49 degrees.

2 — With gas prices skyrocketing, many motorists are looking for the lowest prices available. At 10 a.m., Lynbrook Patch will report just that.

3 — The Lynbrook varsity girls lacrosse team, undefeated in six league games this season, clinched its conference in a win over Bethpage on Saturday. Patch will have the full story this afternoon.

4 — Wondering who's running for school board this month? The Lynbrook Council of PTAs is sponsoring "" at Lynbrook High School tonight at 8 p.m. This is an opportunity to hear where the candidates stand on a range of issues regarding school board business.
