Nov. 14: Food Drive, Volunteers Remembered, Crimes Nearby and More

Can you believe that the T.V. stations and malls are already running Christmas music and holiday shopping commercials?

How about we focus on Thanksgiving first? And to do so, why not celebrate what you're grateful for by helping those who have less? This week there will be a food drive taking place in Malverne. Read on to learn more.

1. Food Drive: The annual food drive at Schwartz Family Chiropractic starts today and will run until Thursday. Help someone less fortunate by dropping off a non-perishable food item at Dr. Pennie's office. for more details. Smiths Honored: On Saturday, members of the West Hempstead community came together at Halls Pond Park to remember a wonderful couple who dedicated their lives to volunteering and helping others in the neighborhood.
