From little village to big 'Garden,' one Malverne girls basketball team had the chance to show off their skills inside one of the most well-known sports arenas in the world.
The CYO Grade 5 team played at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 3, during half-time of the men's St. John's vs. Louisville game.
The girls, coached by Angela Carbone and Rich Trabulsi, enjoyed every second of their time 8-minute game against St. Philip Neri of Northport's team of fouth and fifth graders. OLL's Katie Hawkins even scored 2 points for her team during their time in the spotlight.
