Starting today, Crossroads is now carrying peaches, which have been brought in with this morning's delivery of blueberries, blackberries, raspberries and cherry tomatoes from Wickham's Fruit Farm in Cutchogue.

Corn, from Calverton, also continues to be popular, along with Long Island potatoes and award-winning goat cheese from Catapano Dairy on the North Fork. The market also features Taste of North Fork jams, jellies and preserves, and North Fork Potato Chips.

You'll also find organic produce including parsley, squash, cucumbers, kale and swiss chard, grown at Crossroads, and string beans from a farm in Huntington.

Crossroads farmer Bill Walsh said he just finished harvesting the last batch of green beans for now, but more will be coming in a few weeks, and pretty soon "there will be an avalanche of tomatoes" ready to be picked. He's also started selling flowers grown on the land too.

"If anyone has ideas for things grown on Long Island they would like to see sold here, we are open to suggestions," Walsh added.

The farm is hiring full and part-time staff positions, apprentices and interns right now (Click here for more information.) and is always recruiting volunteers.
