Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Candy

This sweet 2-year-old pup is looking for a home.

Hi, I'm Candy and yes, I am as sweet as my name. I am a 2-year-old female terrier who is staying at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh. I came here as a stray but I'm hoping to leave with a loving family.

I am gentle, friendly and good on a leash. Fetch is my favorite game and I love getting a nice belly rub. I'm also a bit of ham when it comes to taking photos.

I've already been spayed and I'm up-to-date on all my shots. Please stop by the animal shelter to meet me and consider making me a part of your home.

To learn how you can adopt Candy, contact the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh at (516) 785-5220. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
