Shelter Animal of the Week: Meet Johnny

This large cat is looking for a loving owner to help him lose weight and give him a forever home.

Name: Johnny

Case Number: #9449

I'm Johnny, a 6-year-old male cat who is looking for a forever home.

My last owner passed away and I have been staying at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh ever since.

I am looking for a special person to help me lose weight and gain more confidence. I used to have the ability to eat as much as I wanted, which is why I am so large.

Since being part of the shelter's cattery, I get to move around more and am doing better.. I just love playing and being pet.

I've already been neutered and I'm up-to-date on all my shots. To learn how you can adopt Johnny, contact the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter in Wantagh at (516) 785-5220. Adoption hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
