Whether you're traveling over the Labor Day weekend or preparing for Hurricane Earl, now's the time to fill up your vehicle's gas tank. Lynbrook Patch did some investigating to check out the lowest — and highest — gas prices in the village.
Gulf at 710 Merrick Road charges $2.759 per gallon for regular gas, and $2.979 per gallon for plus-grade gas — the lowest rates in Lynbrook as of Thursday evening, according to motortrend.com. BP at 440 Sunrise Highway offered the lowest price on premium gas: $2.759 per gallon.
Three Lynbrook gas stations — Getty at 510 Scranton Avenue, Sunoco at 351 Scranton Avenue, and Gulf at 4 Ocean Avenue — were tied for the highest prices on regular gas at $2.899 per gallon. Gulf at 265 Sunrise Highway had the highest-priced premium gas at $3.259 per gallon.
