The West Hempstead community will be gathering Monday night (Dec. 10) on the third night of Chanukah to light the menorah inside Halls Pond Park.
The ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m. but beforehand, Lakeview and West Hempstead firefighters will be parading around the neighborhood, starting at 6:15 p.m., blaring their sirens and distributing hot latkes, donuts and Chanukah gifts.
There will also be live music and a fantastic fire show.
The parade will be stopping at the three following locations before ending at the corner of Hempstead Avenue and Nassau Boulevard at Halls Pond Park.
- Corner of Hempstead Avenue and Woodlawn at 6:45 p.m.
- Corner of Hempstead Avenue and Walton at 7 p.m.
- Corner of Evergreen and Sprague at 7:15 p.m.
