Tribute to US Soldier/NYPD Officer

This event is in honor of James McNaughton,
a NYPD Cop who was killed in Iraq. Jimmy was a SSG with the Army
Reserves 306th MP Battalion. Jimmy joined the NYPD 12 years ago and
assigned to Transit Bureau, District 2. He reported for duty in the Army
on 10/04/02. On Aug 2, 2005, Jimmys Unit was assigned a dangerous
mission in which was between him and a couple other Sergeants. Jimmy
volunteered over the other soldiers because they had children and he
knew of the severity of the mission. While on this mission, Jimmy was
training an Iraqi officer up in a tower and was struck by a sniper.
James McNaughton, 27, was the first NYC Cop to give his life for his
country as a soldier in the line of duty while serving in Iraq.

On
Saturday, January 25, 2014, James will be honored with a day of fun,
free food, & entertainment. The 9th Annual Tribute to James
McNaughton will be held at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh, NY from 1pm-8pm.
Entertainment includes performances from the Nerds, NY Shields Pipes
& Drums Band, USO and comedy by Dave Attell as well as loads of
other entertainment to be announced, including big surprises that will
be revealed the day of the event.

Proceeds will be donated to
multiple great charities: The Wounded Warrior Project, the 911 Vets and
the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
