The Lynbrook Fire Department will hold a recruitment drive on Saturday, April 9 at the Earle Avenue parking field as part of a RecruitNY campaign by the Fireman's Association of the State of New York.
According to Lynbrook Fire Department spokesman Ex-Captain Steve Grogan, members of the Lynbrook Volunteer Fire Department, with their their apparatus, will be at the field that day to introduce residents to the volunteer fire service and to give them hands on with the equipment that firefighter's use.
Residents will get a chance to put on turnout gear, handle a hose line, and see a number of demonstrations. The Lynbrook Junior Fire Department will also on hand.
