The West Hempstead Rotary Foundation will be handing out approximately $25,000 to 16 charities during a special reception Thursday night, Oct. 27, at Pompei Restaurant (401 Hempstead Ave.)
Dinner will be served, including salad and choices of meat, fish or chicken, dessert, coffee, wine and soda, all for $23.
The charities who will be awarded funds include the NY Asian Women Services, the Center for Science, Teaching and Learning in Rockville Centre for their Spooky Walk, Ronald McDonald House, the West Hempstead Community Support Association for their Children's Holiday Party and many more.
