Lynbrook Students Serve Up Cheer for Senior Citizens

By Rosemary Leonetti

Lynbrook High School’s Leadership/Key Club members recently continued an annual community tradition, serving a complete holiday dinner to local senior citizens at the Greis Park Community Center in Lynbrook.

The honored guests, mostly members of the Lynbrook Senior Citizen Club, feasted on a complete dinner buffet. The Lynbrook High School Brass Ensemble added to the festivities by serenading the guests with holiday music. Local merchants donated trays of food.

Among the notable guests were Kathy Sci, president of the Lynbrook Senior Citizen Club, and her husband Paul, who will be 101 on Valentine’s Day.

Lynbrook High School seniors Lindsay Mirkin and Molly Schiff served as the project managers for the event. Students worked under the guidance of club adviser Allison Goodman.

Food was donated by Angelina’s, Bagel Boss, Bagel Gourmet, Don Giovani, F&L Deli, Gallery Four, Lynbrook Bagels, Marinara, Metro, Mother Kelly’s, Pizza Express, Prosperi, Savino’s, Sweet Peace, Valencia, Villa Marcello, Villa Maria, Vincent’s and Walls.
