Thousands turned out to the center of Malverne Saturday to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season.
Malverne residents snacked on local fare, toasted marshmallows and warmed their hands by the fires that dotted Hempstead Avenue, got a glimpse of Santa and Mrs. Claus, and counted down to the official lighting of the Christmas tree. Watch the video of the Christmas tree lighting here.
