School's Out -- Now What?

School's out today and tomorrow. Here are a few ideas to fill their day.

This week, we have two days off of school in observance of the Jewish New Year. If you're not celebrating the New Year, what is there to do you ask? I have a few suggestions to share.

Check your local library to see what is on the event calendar for the day. If there's nothing, stop by and pick up or return your overdue books.

The Long Island Children's Museum is open again after it's short hiatus of Fall Cleanup.  Hours are daily 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. A few of this month's activities can be found here.

Sometimes. It's hard to manage both kids by myself because of the enormity of the play area, but the kids are fast asleep in the car during the ride home due to exhaustion. I do suggest that you take a "distraction" such as the NEW MobiGo 2 with you to keep their attention during the ride TO the farm. My son has the first version and LOVES it.
