Create wintry memories with these free fun finds

We have just 12 days before jolly old St. Nick hits Valley Stream, and of course your city if you’re visiting the blog from elsewhere. How are you planning to spend it? How about fighting with the crowds at the mall, the toy store, or relaxing at home? Given that none of those will excite the kids, with the exception of visiting the toy store but you know you can’t do that, why not enjoy one of these fabulous free finds?

Have your kids bring an unwrapped gift for any child birth to 17 years old to the 3rd Annual “Party with a Purpose”where the admission is the gift and and smile. It’s happening right here in Valley Stream. If you can’t wrap (like me), don’t worry. There will be plenty of volunteers to help you.

Come have Breakfast with Santa, hosted by a nearby pediatric dentist, and then head over for a pre-celebration of Christmas at Hicks Nurseries where you can take a FREE photo with Santa. How about stopping by the Valley Stream Central High School Christmas Boutique and Craft Fair where you’ll find several unique gifts made by local artists.

Take a short ride out a little further on the island and find Santa flying onto Long Island and snap a photo with him when he lands. I also just learned about Sundaes with Santa at this popular ice cream spot. Grab your cameras!
