Last Chance: Malverne Easter Egg Hunt

Make sure your kids don't miss out on this fun event happening Saturday!

Scattered throughout in Malverne this Saturday will be dozens of colorful, plastic eggs, each containing some special treats. And if you're age 10 and under they are yours for the taking.

The Malverne Merchants and Professionals Association (MMPA) will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt for the local kids at the gazebo near the on April 7. There will be two sessions - one at 10:30 a.m. for kids up to age 4 and another at noon for children ages 5 to 10.

Speaking on behalf of the MMPA, local chiropractor, Pennie Schwartz warned residents at Wednesday's village board meeting not to arrive late if you want your child to get some eggs. She explained that the hunts usually start on time and only last about five minutes.

"They are fast and furious when they go for the eggs …. they go quick," she added.
