Lynbrook Artist Has Work on Display at LI Children's Museum

Submitted by Maureen P. Mangan.

Holly Kaplan of Lynbrook has her work on display at a month-long exhibition, “Dedicated to de Kooning,” at the Long Island Children’s Museum.

Holly took part in an abstract painting series that encouraged participants to explore the process and techniques that Willem de Kooning used to produce his artwork.

Workshops focused on line and movement as design elements and introduced children to the role that color plays in expressing mood and thought.  The abstract painting workshops and this exhibit were made possible through the generous support of The Willem de Kooning Foundation.
