Menorah Lightings in Malverne-West Hempstead

Celebrate the start of Hanukkah tonight at one of these local candle lightings.

The Festival of Lights starts at sundown tonight, and throughout Malverne and West Hempstead residents who celebrate Hanukkah will be lighting the first candle on their menorahs.

The village of Malverne has a larger than life size version of the Jewish candelabrum located near its LIRR train station, which it will light for the first time this season at 5 p.m. All are welcomed to attend.

The Jewish Community Center of West Hempstead and synagogues throughout both communities including Young Israel of West Hempstead, Congregation Anshei Shalom and Chabad of West Hempstead will also hold candle-lightings this evening at sundown, which will be at 4:13 p.m.
