Hello everyone! I hope we all dealt with the heat without the use of swear words or crying (neither of which I do).
This week's weather looks good, and so do the events. This Tuesday Is National Teddy Bear Picnic Day! I want everyone to celebrate and to share their celebrations with The Mommy's Guide.
Now it doesn't' have to be Tuesday if you are busy, we can skip the formalities, but everyone go and have a teddy bear picnic -- if its too hot, have one indoors. Make it special with treats and games and, of course, your teddy bears!
Then take a million pictures. Take the best one and send it over to me email@example.com so that I can post it on my site next week! Our week starts on Sunday, so have it over to me by then. I am even going to be holding a gathering this Tuesday!
Now, back to business, this weeks top picks!
Teddy bear Picnic: Bring your teddy bear, some snacks and of course your kids to an impromptu get together today presented by The Mommy's Guide. We will all get together at Larson Park (Peninsula Boulevard & Remson Avenue in Lynbrook). Donuts will be provided and the fun is already there! Starts at noon!
I am going to both these events, I am planning on bringing lunch and enjoying the show in Seaford then heading over to Merrick for some frozen goodness!
Stomp It Up at Seaman's Neck Park: A concert with Darlene Graham and the Shades of Green Band. Show encourages getting up and dancing to these tunes that explain how fun it is to be in a family!
Where: Seamans Neck Park, Seaford
Swirlz World Grand Opening: The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. with special guests (to be announced). There will be giveaways of frisbees and coolers. Best of all, the first two ounces of their favorite swirly frozen treat is for free!
Where: 383 Merrick Ave, Merrick
Teddy Bear Picnic: For ages 3-6. You and your child will enjoy an afternoon in the cottage garden with finger foods, crafts and games. Make sure you bring a favorite stuffed toy.
When: 1-3 p.m.
