Robert Tartell, 87, West Hempstead, NY, passed away on Nov. 27, 2013.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Lottie Tartell, and his sons Ross (daughter-in-law Karen) and Marc (daughter-in-law Barbara), and seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Dr. Adam Tartell (daughter-in-law Sharon).
Dr. Tartell practiced dentistry in Valley Stream, NY for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army dentist during the Korean War. Dr. Tartell was passionate as a signer, marathon runner, long-time president of the Gilbert & Sullivan Yiddish Light Opera, and a perennial student of the Yiddish language.
Funeral service was held on Friday, Nov. 29 at Gutterman's Inc. in Rockville Centre, NY.
