Letter to Editor: Malverne Village Elections

Offers support for candidates.

Now that the Papal election is behind us, the next election being held is right here at home.

While uncontested this year, the Village of Malverne has two current Trustees running for re-election along with the appointed incumbent Jim Frankie running for Village Justice.

Even though we are challenged at the town, county, state and federal level by never-ending partisanship, it is nice to know that both Trustee Jack O'Brien and Trustee Joe Hennessy not only work well together, but also collaborate in the spirit of a small, tight-knit community.

Further, Jim Frankie will make an excellent Village Justice in the same way he served so ably as Village Attorney.

Led by Mayor McDonald, the village looks great with a robust shopping area and a pro-business attitude that continues to preserve the charm and the character of Malverne.

We should all be grateful for the hard work our village government does and support these three in their bid for continued public service.
