Letter to the Editor: Bring Your Worst Water Tonight

Tom Grech, the Malverne resident who started the campaign against the brown tap water in the village, talks about tonight's meeting.

Nearly 200 people have have joined the Facebook group that I started on Jan. 30 titled "I Love Malverne, but hate the brown water (from LI Water)"  and I thank you.

We have the publicity on our side. Remember, we'll be holding an tonight, Feb 10, at 7:30 p.m. at the with Bill Varley, president of Long Island American Water. (Volunteers are needed at 7 p.m. to help set up.)

If you're planning to attend the meeting, bring water samples in clear containers showing the worst from your tap.

Also, it may be a good idea to walk to the Library if you live close by; parking is tight with all the snow. Call a neighbor, bring a friend and let your voice be heard.

The Malverne Civic has graciously donated a number of water testing kits. Mr. Varley, from LI American Water, will be in attendance to answer questions.

Nothing but clean, clear water is what we are seeking.

Thanks again,

Tom Grech
