Letter to the Editor: Thank You 'Into the Woods' Cast, Crew and Supporters

Lynbrook's Director of Fine and Performing Arts reflects on those who helped bring this year's high school musical production to life.

To the Editor:

I would like to congratulate the members of the Lynbrook High School Drama Club for their inspired presentation of “Into the Woods.”

As the Orchestra Director, it was my pleasure to witness the directors, cast, crew and pit orchestra work together under extraordinary circumstances to bring the show to life. Directing, acting, vocals, music, dance numbers, staging, sound and lights were all done with a level of enthusiasm and professionalism that should make those involved feel very proud. I would like to give my special thanks to the wonderful production team who worked with our young thespians to bring this magical weekend of theater to life—even in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Every one of you sets such a wonderful example for our students, all of whom were determined to do whatever it took to make the show go on. Our late Superintendent Dr. Santo Barbarino was surely smiling down with pride, as he watched everyone come together to triumph over adversity, reminding our community that through caring and cooperation, we can overcome any obstacles that life brings our way.

And finally, I extend my thanks to the many local businesses, family and friends who served as our loyal patrons of the arts. Your generous support helped make this production possible.
