Question of the Day: Longest Traffic Light?

What stop signal in the neighborhood holds you up the most?

I'm always trying to figure out the fastest routes around Malverne and West Hempstead - especially when trying to get to the scene of a breaking news story swiftly yet safely. That usually means taking side streets to avoid some of the area's longest lights.

There are a few that come to mind - the light at the intersection of Broadway and Hempstead Avenue— near the Malverne train station — and the one at Nassau Boulevard and Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.

In our Question of the Day, we want to hear your thoughts on this issue. Where is the longest light in Malverne and West Hempstead in your opinion? What's the longest amount of time that you've sat at a traffic signal in the neighborhood?

Let us know in the comments.
