The December home stretch is upon us. Citrus fruits and baking items highlight the deals at area supermarkets. It is also wise to check the drug store chains for deals. In particular milk seems to be a popular loss leader item.

One of this week's attachments is a frugal tip for those planning on visiting New York City and don’t want to take the Long Island Rail Road.

Gas prices continue to be best priced along Willis Avenue in Albertson.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Attach a lanyard or key chain to a portable USB drive to help from losing. Also, it may be a good idea to use a new stick for 2012 and store the present one in a safe place.
