2 More Injured at Unsafe West Hempstead Intersection

Intersection of Poplar Street and Hempstead Turnpike site of yet another accident.

Another crash occurred Tuesday night at the dangerous intersection of Poplar Street and Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead, where a serious accident left three people injured last month.

An SUV and a sedan were both involved in Tuesday's crash, which injured two people. The impact of the collision pushed the sedan into a nearby utility pole. Air bags in both vehicles deployed.

West Hempstead firefighters and EMS personnel both arrived at the scene and assisted the injured.
