Attempted Carjacking in West Hempstead

Suspect shows gun, demaning a woman's car as she was parked in a CVS lot.

Nassau Police are seeking a suspect after he reportedly attempted to rob a woman's car at gunpoint as she was sitting in a CVS parking lot Friday night.

According to Detectives, the 60-year-old woman was sitting in her 2008 Audi parked in the parking lot of located on Hempstead Avenue in West Hempstead. A male black suspect allegedly approached the victim around 7:35 p.m., displayed a black handgun and demanded the victim’s auto. The victim stated she placed her auto in reverse and fled from the subject. 

No injuries or proceeds were reported and no further description was available.
