Car Crashes Into Home in Westwood

Malverne firefighters and police, along with Nassau County officers respond to scene late Saturday night.

A car collided into a home in the Westwood section of Malverne around 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Malverne firefighters and police, as well as Nassau County officers, responded to the scene of the crash at the intersection of Foster Avenue and Webster Street next to . 

"Upon arrival we found the car that went into the house underneath a porch," Malverne Fire Chief Danny Morgan told Patch. "The driver was already out of the car. He was in the back of a Nassau County Police car."

Morgan said he had heard that Nassau County Police had been chasing the car before it veered off the road and onto the residential property.

Malverne firefighters surveyed the home and didn't find much structural damage other than the adjacent Florida room which the car had collided into. None of the occupants of the house were injured.
