Car Crashes Into Tree in Malverne

Slick roads and heavy rain may have contributed to two-car accident on Ocean Avenue.

Slippery roads and a driving rainstorm may have contributed to a two-car accident in Malverne Tuesday evening that sent one vehicle crashing into a tree.

The incident occurred on Ocean Avenue near Park Boulevard, where a source at the scene said a silver sedan was forced off the roadway on the northbound side. It struck a tree on the curb, splitting it in half. 

Malverne Police and Nassau County EMS personnel responded to the scene to assist the injured. No further details are available at this time.
