Cars Collide Head-On in West Hempstead

Four-vehicle crash causes injuries and nearly sends one car into a store.

Atleast four people were injured Saturday afternoon in a serious four-vehicle accident on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.

Two of the four cars involved in the crash collided head-on near Nassau Boulevard. The accident also forced one vehicle onto the sidewalk and it stopped just short of the entrance to a retail store.
Nassau County Police and EMS along with Franklin Square firefighters were called to the scene to assist.
